VIA LINK pitched the idea of offering “Y Texting,” a way for Generation Y (our youth) to receive crisis counseling in a mode with which they are most comfortable – texting.  Over the past few years calls from young people have decreased, as this generation does not usually talk on the phone.  They prefer to send and receive all information by text.  VIA LINK was awarded $7,500 towards launching this project.
