VIA LINK provides a range of supports to people with opioid misuse. One of those efforts is an innovative texting tool.
Our Text Program
People can get information, resources and live support 24/7 by texting “Opioid” to 898211. Texters are guided through a series of questions to assess what information and resources is best for them. This can include information about overdose reversal medication, treatment options and and needle exchange options. During the exchange, people can opt to text with a live specialist at anytime. Depending on the encounter the person may receive a series of sequenced follow up texts over several months.
Teens who want opioid support and information can also text our Teen Crisis Text Line at 833-TXT-TEEN (833-898-8336).
