The Louisiana Department of Health partnered with Louisiana 211 to spread awareness about the restart of Medicaid renewals after the pause during the COVID-19 pandemic. From July 1, 2023, through April 11, 2024, VIA LINK asked people contacting 211 if they were Medicaid members and provided support and guidance to help eligible members avoid losing their coverage.

VIA LINK screened 12,984 individuals and helped to ensure 7,536 Medicaid members understood the action they needed to take.  3,592 people received specialized navigation to address their questions and connect with Medicaid about renewing their coverage.
