VIA LINK and Louisiana 211 have created a partnership with the Louisiana Department of Child and Family Services to support kinship caregivers. Kinship caregivers are grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings, and others who care for children who are in their family, but are not their biological children. Our staff is supporting these caregivers in a number of ways, including identifying resources to serve them and their children, informing them about kinship care subsidies, addressing parenting questions, providing a non-judgmental space to talk about their frustrations, and discussing problem solving techniques.

If you know kinship caregivers who need support, tell them to dial 211 to talk to our team, or visit www.vialink.org.
